My Testimony Part 1 The descent into darkness
I could start back in my childhood, but everyone does. I will say this before delving into my current history. I had parents that loved me the best they could. I was not raised a christian but was taught to believe in God. There are some dark corners in the closet of my childhood, but I'm just not ready to go there yet. I'm sure you all understand.
Instead, I'm going to start with the year 2000. What a funny year that was. Bryse was 8 years old and Tori was 6. I had returned to college, full time student and volunteer in the school my kiddo's went too. My marriage was about 11 years in and my husband at the time and I were drifting apart. I can't really put my finger on why other than we just seemed to have lost touch with each other. We bought a house and our stress levels went up incredibly because we couldn't really afford to live there. I ended up quitting school and reopening my home daycare. At the time, I would have never admitted it, but I really resented having to work again. I wanted to go to school. I was doing really well in school and had to drop out. I tried going to school at night, but it just didn't work out because I was too tired. School ended up dying out. I was home with children that were incredibly precious, but my mind was not in the right place. We ended up losing the house and moving back into our mobile home that had been completely destroyed by the folks who were renting it.
Renovations and trying hard to put my life in order, I poured my life into my daycare. Invested big money into a playground and supplies. My husband then told me I could quit. Now that we didn't have the huge mortgage payment, our finances were back on track. I thought this was great but it was also the beginning of my decline into a world that was very dark.
I was now at home, by myself for 9 hours every day. My husband was gone a lot because of work. I was lonely. I felt unloved, unwanted, unappreciated. To fill that void I got a computer and internet. Even though I still use the internet today, I can say without hesitation that the internet has satan all through it. It preys on lonely women and men who have nothing better to do with their time. I started looking around and fell into a forum place. I started out in the flirting forums. It felt good to be anyone I wanted to be and have attention given to me by both men and women. It felt good to enter a chat room and have everyone say hello and be glad you were there. I wrote off that maybe I shouldn't be doing this because my husband was addicted to pornography. Who was he to say anything to me when all he ever did was watch movies.
I started spending hours in these flirt forums. I mean, I would get up, do my household chores then plant myself in front of the computer and not leave until the kids got home from school...this went on for years. Around 2002, the flirt forums were boring. I had done everything sexually online that a person could do. I had the headset, the web cam, you name it, I had it. In my boredom I started looking for more. Sitting here looking back, I know I was trying desperately to fill an emptiness that I now know only God could fill. I had relationships with faceless men and women. I had a friend that was transgendered but was always telling me how I was the perfect person to be with as I loved both genders. The darkness really started seeping in when I found what was called the dark forums.
The first forum I started frequenting was one that discussed the Path of Dark, which was the complete opposite of everything light. It was all about satisfying your own selfish desires, doing as you pleased. I met a man in there and he took me under his wing and started tutoring me on the way of the darkness. I began to read on the pagan belief system, goddess worship and what all that meant. I decided because of sexual abuse at the hands of a trusted family member when I was young was a good enough excuse for me to follow the goddess. As is my character, I threw myself into the belief and knew everything there was to know.
The man I met in the dark path forum introduced me to an even darker world online. He introduced to me people who lived a life as vampires and dark arts masters. They never came right out and said they were satan worshippers but that is indeed what they were. Anyone who believes that only through themselves can they find fulfillment and enlightenment are so off the target of what is true what else can they be?
Along with the vampire role playing came the world of BDSM (bondage, discipline, dominance, and submission). This is a prime place for those who have been abused, have low self esteem and self worth. I went so deep down into this world that there wasn't much I wouldn't do. I'll write more on this specific topic at another time.
In the world of vampires and werewolves I became a leader. I was respected and listened too. I knew everything there was to know and I had men and women throwing themselves at me to be apart of my pack. I was wanted, popular, needed. People would wait for me to come online. I had power. I was deep in the pagan world, going to a local pagan church, participating in ritualistic behavior and loving every moment of it. In real life, I had men and women coming to me. I was desired. The loved the woman with the black eye lined eyes and what seemed to be magic in her hands. The totally love the woman who drove a sport car, nine inch nails blaring as I pulled into the parking lot of the Pagan House. I was wild, I was mean, and honestly I could be very scary. I was known for my temper. I was known as the one you just did not want to mess with.
I had moved from the quiet housewife to the wild, free woman who could make fantasies come true. I had many online lovers. I had no ethics, no rules. I had men and women who would pay to talk to me on the phone. I had the power to make them feel at the top of the world or the lowest form of life. I had power and freedom that I thought had always desired.
I was a whore. I was ugly inside and was slowly destroying who I was. I began self mutilation because all of this pain was coming out of me. The anger and ugliness slowly molded and created a new person. Her name is Ruby. Her online name was Wolf.
Next week...The dark night of the soul.

Garden Chick Review

The aromatherapy pendant came with a small bottle of lavendar and ylang-ylang which helps with calming down. My daughter has not taken the pendant off since she got the beautiful smelling box in the mail! She loves it! I was worried that the oil would cause her skin to break out and she has not had any problems. The Garden Chick has a variety of different handmade pendants for you to choose from. I think this would be beautiful to hang from your curtains too!
The Garden Chick's description for her aromatherapy pendants is as follows:
Aromatherapy is a powerful natural therapy that serves to heal and harmonize imbalances of the body and mind. AromaClay pendants are unique, personal diffusers you can wear or place in small areas like a desktop, by the bed, or inside a car, bathroom or closet. The pendants are effective with room temperature, sunlight warmth, or a heat source. Apply 3-5 drops of your favorite essential oil or essential oil blend to the unglazed porous clay for absorption. Some lighter oils such as citrus oils may require additional drops. Refresh with additional oil as needed.
Each pendant is handmade and will be unique. They each have a decorative bead and either a nylon rope or ribbon for wearing or hanging.
Not only does The Garden Chick carry these beautiful pendants but she also has Garden Wear, Herbal Pet Treat Kits, gardening tips and much, much more. I just love all of the variety The Garden Chick offers! Please swing by her site and look around! She is very reasonably priced and her products would make great little gifts for the holiday gift exchange times that are right around the corner!BusyBody Organizers Review

I absolutely love to keep a planner! I’m a planner junkie, I admit it! If I’m at a store, you can bet I’m over looking at wall calendars, pocket calendars, anything that is calendar like! I’ve admitted my addiction now let me tell you about BusyBody Organizers! I was sent the BusyBody Book by BusyBody Organizers and you would have thought I got diamonds in the mail! Lol This planner is so amazing because:
Planners are great, but you haven’t seen the inside of my purse! I mean, things get lost in there!
a BusyBody Book has a firm plastic cover on both the front and back of the planner keeping it clean and doesn’t allow even the worst purse monster a chance to tear it up.
Planners are great but tend to have tiny little boxes that your supposed to fit your appointments, classes, band concerts…yeah, you get the idea, there’s never enough room!
a BusyBody Book not only gives a nice big block for EACH person in the family, they also offer a whole page for a to do list and “to doodles” as they call it!

Here is what BusyBody Organizers says about the BusyBody Book:
2 Monthly Planners
One planner to record birthdays & anniversaries! Another to note next year's appointments & future events.
Months-at-a-glance
An overview to help plan ahead for the holidays, vacations, or special events.
Key contact pages
2 Pages for your emergency contact information, doctors, coaches, babysitters...
Removable shopping lists
Perforated pages for creating handy grocery or gift lists.
2 Pockets
Inside front & back covers provide a deep pocket to hold important papers, receipts, coupons...
Bookmark
Easily flip to the current week with this unique bookmark that grabs the spiral.
Notes
A full page each week for notes, to do's, lists, or alerts. Plenty of notes pages in back of BBB too to record and keep
important information.
NEW!
Sturdy, clear plastic covers now provide BBB's beautiful covers with even more protection.
Now, yes, I got the planner but they also offer wall calendars! Here is what the wall calendar can do to help you stay organized:
The BusyBodyBook Aug '09 - Dec '10 Wall Calendar features:
· seven spacious columns for your larger family or your additional planning needs
· a week-per-page layout that can hang as a one- or two-week view
· two six-months-months-at-a-glance pages to help plan ahead for the holidays, vacations, or special events
· a page for next year's important appointments and events
· key contacts pages for your emergency contact information and the phone numbers of doctors, coaches or babysitters
· a 4-inch pocket on the inside back cover to hold important papers, receipts or coupons
Yeah, I’ll be getting the wall calendar next! These products are a must have for the busy mom!
Go, send or disobey
This video really touched my heart. I know I'm not the one to go, but I definitely can be the one who supports the missionaries in anyway I can! How about you?

Thankful Thursday 8/27/09

- I am thankful for a loving husband who is devoted to me and my children.
- I am thankful that my oldest son actually came to me about "girl" stuff last night and actually heard the advice I had to give.
- I am thankful for my daughter Tori, who just gets me when I don't even get myself.
- I am thankful that I could take my daughter to the doctor yesterday and find out what is wrong with her (through tests that will be back on Monday), when I know of others who do not have the benefit of health care.
- I am thankful for my God who holds me through the trials and tests of my life, loving me unconditionally.

Ephesians 5:7-10 Scripture Tag Snag
Chicken Pox or Poisen Ivy?

When we got home from Branson, Diva had these bumps on her legs. I assumed they were bug bites. Now a week later, they are still there and spreading! I'm taking her to the Dr. tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen this type of rash before? The bumps are hard, which is what's throwing me off....Very low grade fever, good appetite...hmmmmmmmm

Answers in Genesis-After Eden

Isn't this cartoon speaking the truth? My two oldest headed back to public school last week and already ran into the "We evolved from the apes" I have to chuckle because I know once my daughter get's the nerve to speak up she'll say what I taught her at home last year..."if we evolved from the apes, then why are there still apes??" That should be interesting!

The Trendy Tadpole Review

The Trendy Tadpole is offering a 30% off coupon to my readers. Just use the code trendy30 when you order!
We are baaaack!
I'm finally able to sit down and let everyone know we are back from Branson! I can honestly say, I'm glad to be home. Branson is a BEAUTIFUL place but, isn't there always a but? Where we stayed was not a kid friendly place for the twinks. The one thing I didn't even think of is this...Branson is in the mountains, which means absolutely NO flat surfaces! lol Here is a picture of the deck we had. It was too tiny for them to really play. Balls were a bad, bad toy! We all spent our time chasing the balls DOWN the hill...I mean, positive side, we got exercise!
The other negative was, the twinks were terrified to sleep in the bedroom. We are talking SCREAMING for over an hour whether Nick and I were in there or not. They would finally fall asleep just from pure exhaustion. That was terrible and really broke my heart.
One of the places we went was further up in the hill country to visit with some clients of my Mother in Law. They are renovating a house and God bless them, were Grandparents that LOVED little ones! They let the twins run and run inside of the house. Gave them little tennis rackets and a ball and said go for it! They couldn't hurt anything because they were tearing it out anyway! I really appreciate those folks! Here is a picture of the house.
They've gotten most of the outside done, and are now working on the inside. This will be a beautiful home once its done, but there is no way I'd want to live there! lol
For me there were two high points. One was we went to the Butterfly Palace. Now that was really cool! I got tons of beautiful pictures of butterflies that I plan on using for scripture tags. Here is a picture of the twinks with their Oma:)
Second favorite part was on the last day. Nick took the twinks fishing:) John caught the biggest fish, but wanted nothing to do with it! lol But they had a blast and that is all that matters.
Next year, we are going to San Antonio and doing Sea World! lol Hopefully 3 year olds will do better!

Sunday Wrap Up
I LOVE naps!

Totally not what I was thinking it would be. I'm so used to praying for others, but this study is all about praying for ourselves...I just didn't know what to think at first. Am I being selfish? Self centered....? Is it wrong to pray for ourselves? Honestly, this is how I felt about it. Let me pray for others and God will know what I need.

That Ach word comes from me reading Beverly Lewis' Amish series! Can I just say I love her books:) I started with The Preachers Daughter
If you haven't tried one of these series, give it a try! They are beautifully written and give a glimpse into the very private world of the Old Order Amish:)
So this week, I ask God to forgive me for the stumbles and pray that He will see me through the next week, stretching my faith, stretching myself outside of my comfort zone...yeah, I actually mean that and it terrifies me!
What is the risk God is asking you to do?? Please share so I don't feel alone!

From the Heart of Worship-8/4/09

When God was slowly changing my heart, this song was one that I heard over and over again that reminded me...God does love you! He will extend his grace to you and offer you rest through forgiveness and repentance.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see so clearly
Chorus:
Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Chorus
When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing Your praise
Than when we first begun
