Seeing the Everyday Magazine Review

I'm so excited to share with you, finally, about an amazing magazine called Seeing the Everyday!  I have been so blessed by this magazine, through the pictures and encouraging words.  Seeing the Everyday takes you through the life of a family, sewing, cooking, family life, and many other topics.

This magazine is one that you will keep on your bookcase because it is so gorgeous!  I don't usually rave about a magazine of all things, but Seeing the Everyday Magazine deserves every bit of praise.

Go take a look at the new website and then order your subscription.  You will not regret it, I promise!

*Disclaimer:  Seeing the Everyday magazine gave me a free subscription to review their product.**

CSN Guidecraft Tabletop Builiding Blocks Review

I received the Guidecraft Tabletop Building Blocks last week and gave them to the twins to play with.  The blocks are a quality wooden block and the twins have loved making castles and roadways with them.  They give the blocks two thumbs up!

From my point of view, they are excellent blocks but not as big as I thought they would be.  The case they came in is sturdy, but the lid cracked after the twins played with it (yes that means standing on it, lol).  I would recommend these blocks but understand that when they say tabletop that is exactly what they mean.  An older child would enjoy these blocks to build with for sure.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this product an 8.

*Disclaimer-CSN Stores.com provided me with the Guidecraft Tabletop Building Blocks for free in exchange for my honest review of the product.*

Minnie’s Bow-tique Review

Super cute movie that any little girl will love! You can pick up a copy of Minnie's Bow-tique at any major store for $19.99!

DVD Details:
For the first time ever, Minnie Mouse will star in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse:
Minnie’s Bow-tique when it comes to Disney DVD on February 9, 2010.

This new release features four Minnie-themed stories including a never-before-seen episode and a fun Minnie magnet bow frame. Two episodes, ‘Minnie’s Pajama Party,’ and ‘Minnie’s Bee Story,’include Disney’s Adventure Mode – an interactive game using the remote control with multiple play levels.

It's the grand opening of Minnie's Bow-tique, a store jam-packed with every kind of bow and bowtie imaginable. The selections include: the "Glow-Bow", a bow that changes color with every mood; the "Grow-Bow", a bow that grows to tremendous size by just adding water; flying "Butterfly-Bows"; and a "Photo-Bow" that snaps instant pictures. Problems arise when Pete, embarrassed about buying a lady's bow for his favorite aunt, causes a few accidental mishaps in the new store.

However, super salesperson Minnie finds the perfect bow for Pete. The Bow-tique's grand opening is a success - and it all ends in a Big Bow Show with the Clubhouse gang modeling the latest fashions under the biggest bow of all, a colorful, sky-high Rain-Bow.

In a never-before-seen episode, Minnie’s Pajama Party Minnie and the girls set up a fun Pajama Party sleepover for the day – but it’s not as easy as it sounds, especially with the addition of Pete and Willie the Giant!

**Disclaimer: I was sent a free copy of Minnie's Bow-tique to review and give my honest opinion.**

My Review:

I'm not a big map person but Nick wanted to see this book because he is!  lol  When the book arrived, I opened it up and thumbed through it.  What I really like is that they book is laid out the same way as a bible.  Each book has maps to show you where the people were in the history.

Not only will this book be very helpful for Nick and mine's Chronological Bible Study but will also be extremely helpful with all four of the children.  This is a definite "get it" book if your a homeschool mom!

Angels by Dr. David Jeremiah Book Review

**This book was provided for review by the WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group.**

I have always had a fascination with angels.  When I became a Christian, I realized that for a long time I placed angels in place of God.  In Dr. David Jeremiah's book, Angels, he clearly clarifies where Angels are supposed to be in the hierarchy of things when it comes to the true order of worshiping our God.

I loved all of the scripture references and the clear message on these heavenly creatures that God created and what He created them for.  If you want a read that is going to answer a lot of questions and move you away from the misguided world of angel worship, pick up this book!

ABOUT THIS BOOK

The Remarkable Truth about the Agents of Heaven
People have long been fascinated by stories of angel sightings, yet many contemporary beliefs about angels are based on misconception and myth rather than solide, biblical truth.
As he's done so brilliantly for decades, respected Bible teacher Dr. David Jeremiah uses Scripture to unveil the remarkable truth about these agents of heaven and their role in our world and our lives.

What are angels? What is their role in God's plan? Are they present? Do they appear? Do they give us personal insight about our work and our worship?
In this broad and thorough survey of Scripture, Dr. Jeremiah clearly and simply separates fact from fiction as it relates to angels. His enlightening findings are supported with illustrations and insights from prominent teachers, such as Billy Graham, Corrie ten Boom, C. S. Lewis, and more.

Dr. Jeremiah's down-to-earth style guides readers around the hype about angels and directly into the "substance of things unseen!"

You can purchase Angels from any major bookstore or directly from Random House

Ecostore USA Review

AND THE WINNER FOR THE $25.00 GIFT CARD GIVEWAWAY TO ECOSTORE USA IS.....(imagine a drum roll here!)

I blogged http://sustainablesteffanie.blogspot.com/2010/02/great-giveaways_16.html #4

Congratulations!!!  I'll be emailing you shortly!!

Ecostore USA contacted me to review two of their all natural products.  When it comes to my cleaning supplies and laundry detergents I believe natural is always the best way to go.  My one problem with the natural/organic product line is sometimes it does not clean the way I need it too.  Remember, I have 4 children, a husband, a dog and two cats, lol, so I need deep clean!

Ecostore USA sent me the Laundry Powder that sells for $11.00.  I was EXTREMELY pleased with how clean my clothes came out and the clean not perfumed smell of the materials.  Also, when I saw the small box, I thought "great, this will last 5 loads in my house."  Boy was I wrong!  This Laundry Powder comes with a tiny little cup to measure out how much you need in a typical load of laundry (remember, we don't stuff our washing machine baskets full!) giving me 25 loads of clean laundry!  Very nice when you have a large family like mine.

Ecostore USA Laundry Powder Product Description:
Our high performance Laundry Powder consists of simple mineral salts and plant-based ingredients which make it easy to clean even the filthiest clothes. Its natural lemon fragrance will not harm or irritate the skin. Our NO NASTY CHEMICALS product is a safe, healthy alternative for you and your planet. (35.3 ounces)
Ingredients
  • Palm and coconut based non-ionic and anionic surfactants
  • Silicates and carbonates (simple mineral salts)
  • Citrates (from citrus)
  • Cellulose (plant based)
  • Sodium percarbonate (oxygen producing whitener)
  • Natural lemon verbena oil

The other product that I chose is the Citrus Spray Cleaner that sells for $9.00.  The clean fresh scent made my bathroom smell....well clean!  The cleanser did a thorough job of cleaning the toilet, sink and counter tops.  A very good "everyday" cleaner to use on table tops, chairs, high chairs, and anything that your children might put in their mouths.

Ecostore USA product description:
Ecomommas can go room to room with this product. Simple to use yet high performance, ecostore Lemon Spray Cleaner is the ideal alternative to conventional, toxic products. This citrus based solvent will work wonders on almost any household surface. Have black kitchen appliances?  We've been told via many testimonials that it is just awesome.  And, of course, if it’s an Ecostore product, it contains No nasty chemicals.  For your health, for your family and for the planet. (17 fluid ounces)
Ingredients
  • D-Limonene (from citrus)
  • Palm and coconut based non-ionic and anionic surfactants
  • Fatty acid derivative
  • Ethanol
  • Filtered water
