Do you love Winnie the Pooh? I do!

Winnie the Pooh and Tigger are headed back out into our living rooms October 25th and I for one can NOT wait!  I adore Winnie the Pooh and all of the timeless characters.  How about you?

daddy dates by Greg Wright

In a country where more and more children are being raised by Mom's and not Dad's there is a demand for tools men can use to step into the role of fatherhood.  daddy dates is a book that teaches father's how to interact with their daughters of all ages and encourages healthy relationships.

I had my husband read the book because it was more relevant for him to do so.  He really liked the suggestions the book gave to spend quality, one on one time with his two daughters.  He said that it even challenged him to spend the same amount of time with our two sons.  In a world that encourages the father to be out of the house, making the most money possible, this book is a good reminder of what matters the most: Our family!

Mix in humor of Greg Wrights own mishaps with his daughters makes this book an easy read!  Here's a brief description of daddy dates:

Daddy Dates gives the average Joe easy steps to actively and successfully engage with his daughter and raise a confident woman-to-be.
When faced with the reality of raising four (4!) teen daughters, Greg Wright went on a soul quest.
He came back with a mission: Don’t Screw Up.
This funny, insightful, and relatable book poses the wildly original concept that should be a “duh” for most dads—but isn’t: In order to raise a confident woman-to-be, show your daughter what it feels like to be treated with love, respect, and true interest by a man who loves her.
Daddy Dates shows the average father how to actually do that. It is written in an original voice and will appeal to both men and women. It is the kind of action-oriented “how to” material that guys enjoy, and so many others will recommend to other dads.
**This title does not contain the amount of faith-focused content as many other books offered on BookSneeze.com. If you prefer Christian Living titles featuring a large amount of faith-centered content, Unsinkable is probably not the best selection for you.

What a great gift to give to the daddy's in your life!  Two thumbs up from this reviewer!

Hey Arnold Season 1 Review

Who hasn't heard of this quirky, football head shaped cartoon Hey Arnold! from the 1990's?  The characters of this cartoon make me chuckle as they all come together in the day to day life of Arnold and his friends. Shout Factory has released the whole entire first season of this cartoon and I couldn't wait to sit down with my kids and watch it.

Typical of this time, the cartoon has its gross moments, which we all know is funny right?  But overall, its a cute show.  Made the twins giggle and that makes it worth it!  Hey Arnold! will fit nicely in with our collection of funny cartoons.

Here's a description of the series:" A favorite with viewers and critics alike, Hey Arnold! stars Arnold, a fourth grader who lives with his grandparents Phil and Gertrude, owners of the Sunset Arms boarding house. Each episode finds Arnold in a new, sticky situation, whether it’s helping out a schoolmate with their problems or dealing with his own. Unfortunately, Arnold ’s predicaments are often started by Helga, a schoolmate who picks on Arnold and constantly bullies him. However, Helga only pretends to dislike Arnold to hide the fact that she is secretly in love with him!"

You can have a lot of fun with this series and talk about consequences for our actions and how we can work harder to get along with others even when they make it hard to be nice.

Who else out there has watched Hey Arnold?  Be sure and get out there and buy your copy!
